About the captain

Captain John is a licensed and Insured U.S. Coast Guard Certified Charter Captain with over ten years of experience fishing the Mississippi Gulf waters. He is an active member of the Mississippi Gulf Banks Fishing Association; Charter Captain's Organization and IGFA. Captain John is also actively involved in the management and design of several off-shore artificial reef preservation sites (fish havens!).

EQUIPPED FOR SERIOUS FISHING

Professional tackle is an important part of the BO-JOH-LA's formula for successful tournament and pleasure fishing. The captain and crew maintain a quality assortment of popular rods, reels and tackle and can accommodate just about any type of fishing desired. The boat is also equipped with downriggers for trolling.

Live, dead and artificial baits are used & included in the charter price.

Captain John and the BO-JOH-LA have recently hosted ESPN, FOX Outdoors, Mark Sosin's Saltwater Journal, American Outdoorsmen TV and Outdoor Life Network film crews on Mississippi Gulf fishing television shoots.

Captain John is passionate about catching fish and an enthusiastic guide. The BO-JOH-LA is host to all types of anglers, professional to amateur.

About the boat

The BO-JOH-LA is a 28ft Cape Horn center console fishing vessel with NEW twin 225 V6 Suzuki engines. She is equipped with the latest in safety and fish-finding electronics. A true fish-catching machine, The BO-JOH-LA is a comfortable and fast boat that will accommodate six passengers and crew with plenty of deck and storage space as well as a private restroom/changing area.

Designed for fishing, Coast Guard certified for safety.
